About LEAP

History

Life Education Activity Programme (LEAP) was established in Hong Kong in 1994 to provide positive and sequential health-based drug prevention programmes to primary and secondary students, including those in Special Needs Schools. In the 2014/15 academic year, LEAP reached over 107,000 students, including 5,000 students with special needs.  LEAP also runs a Parent Programme which aims at equipping parents with skills to help their children establish correct values and to prevent substance abuse.

LEAP’s programmes are endorsed by the Hong Kong SAR Government’s Education Bureau, the Narcotics Division of the Security Bureau and the Tobacco Control Office of the Department of Health.  Swire and Cathay Pacific Airways are our major sponsors.

LEAP has over 20 educators.  All of our educators are holders of a bachelor degree or higher qualifications from a local or overseas university.  Their fields of study may be different but they all share a common passion for our health-based drug prevention education programme which also stresses social competency skills.
