Official launch of two new mobile classrooms

Life Education Activity Programme (LEAP) is delighted to announce on 28 April 2017 the commissioning of its two new mobile classrooms. Officiating guests of the ceremony are Manda Chan Wing Man, Commissioner for Narcotics, Leong Cheung, Executive Director, Charities and Community, The Hong Kong Jockey Club, Shum Siu Fong, Chairman, Hong Kong Special Schools Council and James Tong, LEAP’s Chairman.

Application of AR Technology in LEAP's Programmes

To keep pace with the advancement of technology and changing needs of students, LEAP is proud to be the first drug prevention education organization in Hong Kong to apply the Augmented Reality (AR) and Kinect technologies ot its educational programme. Through special motion sensors and advanced code scanners, students can learn about health and drugs in a fun and unique way.

Results of Mobile Classroom Design Competitions

To celebrate the upcoming launch of LEAP's new Special Needs mobile classroom in early 2017 and promote social inclusion, LEAP organized a design competition inviting special needs students to submit graphic designs for the exterior of the mobile classroom. Winning designs have been selected by the judging panel.

Cheer for LEAP Scholarship Cooking Contest

There was great excitement on 21 August 2016 when the final round of the Cheer for LEAP Scholarship Cooking Contest was held, followed by an award presentation. Congratulations to the winners of the Lower Primary Category (Primary 1-3) Au Wing Hei Jazlyn from Diocesan Girls' Junior School and Upper Primary Category (Primary 4-6) Lam Timothy from Tai Po Methodist School who were each awarded a HK$5,000 book coupon. LEAP would like to thank Dah Chong Hong Holdings sincerely for sponsoring the scholarships.

2016 LEAP Flag Day a Success

LEAP Flag Day was successfully held on 9 April 2016 in the New Territories. The event raised some HK$570,000 net towards the development of our drug prevention education programmes. Around 1,300 volunteers, including some parents accompanying their children, turned out to assist with this worthy cause.
