Frequently Asked Questions about Online Donation


 

Q1.

 

How do I know the donation transaction is successful?

A1:

 

Upon completion of the transaction, system will automatically pop up a page of "Payment Result":

  • “Your payment transaction is completed”   or

  • “Credit card authorization rejected”

Q2.

 

If I would like to check whether my online donation is successful or not, what should I do?

A2:

 

You could call us on 2530 0018 or email us at e-donation@leap.org.hk to check your online donation status by providing your Payment Reference No., your personal information, the donation date or amount.

  


  

Q3.

 

Why didn’t the system show up the "Payment Result" after the transaction is completed?

A3:

 

The failure of showing up the "Payment Result" can be caused by system interruption due to a busy network or some other reasons.

  


  

Q4.

 

How could I recognize that the transaction was completed if the system did not show up  the "Payment Result" but showed a statement "Page cannot be displayed"?

Why did my online donation fail?

A5:

 

You could refer to the reasons showed under "Payment Result" such as:

*Invalid data is provided, e.g. Credit Card Number / Expiry Date*

*Credit card issuing bank network unreachable*

*Credit card not valid for authorization over the Internet*

*Credit card cannot be authorized at certain times of the day*

 

To rectify this situation, you may:

  1. Check with the card issuing bank;
  2. Use a different card to complete the payment; OR
  3. Make a donation through bank transfer or cheque payment.  Please click here to download the donation form.

How long does it take to receive my official receipt?

A6:

 

A donation receipt will be sent to you within 5 weeks.

 


 

Q7.

 

Do you accept online donation in foreign currency?

A7:

 

We only accept donation in Hong Kong Dollar.
